Corvid-19 linocut artwork print

I approached my Corvid-19 linocut artwork print with a slight trepidation. The topic is sensitive considering that we are currently living in unprecedented times. Not many of those times happen in any lifetime. To mark this world stopping moment I wanted to create a piece of work to reflect that. To reflect hope.

As Emily Dickinson once wrote:

“Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all.”

My confidence to release this piece to the public has been reaffirmed by so many beautiful responses from my friends and customers.

“It’ll be the thing we look at and remember, or point at it on the wall when I talk to my future family. Sharing the learns and the positives and all that. Art is something to enjoy, and to respond to. A memory, and an instigator of conversation. Yours fits this completely in this moment in time for our tastes. Thank you. ”

“I’ve bought one each for the kids for them and us to remember the time the world went into lockdown”
