This Mackerel Study reduction print 2 continues my exciting Maritime series.

A 7 layer reduction print which is part of a series of prints developed for a local exhibition titled “Maritime”. It’s centred around Welsh marine and coastal exploration.

It also perfectly compliments both my Waves and Wildthings collections.

I have previously used the method of having a separate plate for each colour. This is considered a safer way to work and can theoretically give you unlimited prints. The reduction technique allows working the same piece of lino after you’ve printed each layer.

The nature of reduction printing means a limited edition but and provide to subtlety to achieve piece of work. I also love the texture that layering inks creates.

This print is limited to an edition of 25.

Image dimensions are approximately 18.5 cm x 12.5 cm with a 3 cm white border.

Due to the nature of this process every linocut artwork print is slightly different making each one totally unique, adding to the charm.

All prints come gift wrapped in acid free tissue paper with a tag for your own personal message (see pictures).

This Mackerel Study reduction print is signed by myself in pencil and delivered in a cellophane wrapper and board backed envelope.
